Access Keys

Website Practices

For usability and accessibility we employ the following website practices:

• We try to always use valid HTML code and check it with the W3C validator.
• Hyperlinks go directly to the link. We do not open new windows without a good reason.
• We try to use meaningful link text and in the title attribute of links.
• Where images are displayed, an alternate text attribute is used. Even if images are not displayed, it should still be possible to use the website.
• Whereever possible, scripting and processing is done on the server before the page is shown to the visitor. If client-side scripting is used, it is not crucial to using or viewing the website.
• Disruption of basic browser functions is always avoided.
• If content is presented that requires another program or plug-in, this content will not be crucial to viewing or using the website. A link to the program or plug-in will be also be given.
